Sales Manager (m/f/d)

As a Q.ANT Sales Mana­ger, you are respon­si­ble for expan­ding our busi­ness and mana­ging Q.ANT’s rela­ti­ons­hip with our cus­to­mers. You ser­ve as a com­mer­cial point of con­ta­ct bet­ween the cus­to­mer and Q.ANT and iden­ti­fy, deve­lop and clo­se new busi­ness oppor­tu­nities — with a strong empha­sis on ‘hun­ting’ and clo­sing. With your per­so­na­li­ty, you com­mu­ni­ca­te the Q.ANT values to our cus­to­mers and pro­spects: we are all about qua­li­ty, we anti­ci­pa­te the customer’s needs, working as a team — and we stay always curious to find new solu­ti­ons with them.
You ope­ra­te wit­hin the Q.ANT Sales Pro­cess and main­tain the sales fun­nel in our CRM/ERP system. You will have clo­se direct con­nec­tions to pro­duct manage­ment and the development team for sup­port. As Sales Mana­ger, you repre­sent the com­pa­ny at cus­to­mer visits, at tra­de shows or indus­try mee­tings and con­fe­ren­ces. You will be requi­red to per­form pro­spec­ting for and qua­li­fi­ca­ti­on of new opportunities.

Your tasks

  • Iden­ti­fy new oppor­tu­nities, grow busi­ness with new and exis­ting cus­to­mers for our com­ing, unpre­ce­den­ted par­ti­cle sen­sing portfolio 
  • Hand­le and qua­li­fy cus­to­mer requests tog­e­ther with the tech­ni­cal sales team 
  • Main­tain and grow the sales pipe­line, mana­ged in our SAP ByD ERP system 
  • Coor­di­na­te respon­se to RFQs, crea­te and nego­tia­te com­mer­cial quotations 
  • Par­ti­ci­pa­te in tra­de shows, cus­to­mer events and the like 
  • Abi­li­ty to tra­vel, typi­cal­ly in the DACH region 

Your profile

  • Com­ple­ted stu­dies in a technology rela­ted field like che­mi­cal engi­nee­ring, bio­tech­no­lo­gy, or eco­no­mics, or equi­va­lent pro­fes­sio­nal experience 
  • Expe­ri­ence in sel­ling high-tech pro­ducts pre­fer­a­b­ly in the che­mi­cal or bio­tech indus­try and mana­ging com­plex sales cycles and diver­se cus­to­mer sta­ke­hol­der pro­files; Par­ti­cle Sen­sing tech­no­lo­gies a plus 
  • Con­vin­cing nego­tia­ti­on skills, ‘clo­se-the-deal’ attitude 
  • Strong com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on and team­work skills 
  • Con­fi­dent hand­ling of the com­mon MS Office pro­grams, CRM tools like Sales­for­ce, SAP CRM etc. Cus­to­mer sup­plier por­tals like Ariba 
  • Very good lan­guage skills in Ger­man and Eng­lish, both writ­ten and spoken
