Expert (m/f/d) for integrated photonics and quantum measurements

As an expert for opti­cal quantum mea­su­re­ments you will be respon­si­ble for imple­men­ting and run­ning expe­ri­ments and cha­rac­te­riz­a­ti­on tools for dif­fe­rent clas­si­cal and non-clas­si­cal sta­tes of light.

Your tasks

  • Inde­pen­dent plan­ning and rea­liz­a­ti­on of opti­cal labo­ra­to­ry set­ups using a mix of free-space, fiber and inte­gra­ted optics 
  • Mea­su­re­ment of pho­to­nic inte­gra­ted cir­cuits of various degrees of complexity 
  • Design and cha­rac­te­riz­a­ti­on of com­plex mea­su­re­ment setups 
  • Cha­rac­te­riz­a­ti­on of clas­si­cal and non-clas­si­cal sta­tes of light 
  • Semi-auto­ma­ted exe­cu­ti­on of expe­ri­ments and mea­su­re­ment series 
  • Pro­ces­sing, ana­ly­sis and eva­lua­ti­on of the resul­ting data in Python 
  • Pre­sen­ta­ti­on and com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on of findings 

Your profile

  • Mater­s’s or Ph.D. degree in the field of quantum optics or similar. 
  • Expe­ri­ence in the field of opti­cal assem­blies using free-space optics and fiber optics 
  • Inde­pen­dent way of working in an agi­le team 
  • Know­ledge in Python 
  • Very good lan­guage skill in Eng­lish, both writ­ten and spo­ken; Ger­man skills can be an advantage
