Miniaturized light-sources for medical and mobility app­li­ca­tions

It’s official: our project MiLiQuant is funded by the BMBF – tog­ether with our partners Bosch, Zeiss, Nanoscribe, University of Mainz and University of Paderborn we will develop minia­tu­rized light-sources based on diode-lasers and enable industrial Quantum Technology.

 

These minia­tu­rized, fre­quency- and power-stable light-sources will allow a maintenance-free use even outside labo­ratory con­di­tions. The development of these basic tech­no­logies is tailored to spe­cific app­li­ca­tions in the fields of quantum sensor technology and quantum imaging: The addressed app­li­ca­tions range from diamond-based sensors for medical dia­gnostics (intra­ope­rative detection of brain and nerve activity), sensors for auto­nomous driving (high pre­cision gyro­scopes) to quantum-based imaging in the infrared spectrum (radiation reduced micro­scopy of living cells).
